This project focuses on reward- and attention-related determinants of sensory selection in human visual cortex using multimodal imaging methods (MEG/EEG). Extending previous research on explicit biasing processes, we will ask whether implicit biasing of feature selectivity dissociates between reward and attention. We will also investigate the often neglected temporal aspect of sensory biasing by comparing reward and attention regarding their power to alter the temporal priority of object-based feature processing in visual cortex.
